Well hello there!

Hi y'all!!

I just GASPED when I saw the date of my last post!  Life gets busy and the days just seem to fly by!

I've been working away creating for my classroom and now it's time to start getting those activities posted into my TPT store.  Tonight I added a new 'Build it math game'.  This one has a pizza theme so can be used year round.

Students use a dice and 'build a pizza' by adding toppings.  I have included 8 different games that each use the same pizzas and toppings to cut down on prep work.  The 8 games each have an 'I can' instruction card to print and add to a center.  This makes for easy differentiation!
The 8 games include:
Roll and Count
Add 1
Add 2
Add 5
Add 10
Doubles
Doubles +1
Subtract 1

You can find this new learning pack HERE and I have added this to my existing bundle which you can find HERE.  If you won the bundle then you already own the new addition!

As always, I like to give away copies of my new learning packs.  I will send a copy of Build a Pizza - 8 Math Games in One to the first 3 people who comment on this post.  Don't forget your email! Giveaway ended

Making Responsible Choices

It was an exciting day today ... with still a month left of summer vacation I finished ALL of my school supply shopping for my students!  Wahoo ... celebration time!  At my school, each student pays a $50 school supply fee and we purchase everything they need.  I LOVE that all the students have everything they need and everyone has the same quality and brand.  I also LOVE the expression on people's faces when I but 24 packages of markers, 50 boxes of crayons, 24 binders ... LOL the list goes on!  The only drawback is that we pay out of pocket first so my credit card gets a good little workout!

On another note ... something new has been added to my TPT store.

All day, everyday we our modeling responsible choices in our classrooms.  The activities in my newest learning pack provide purposeful opportunities to discuss and review those behaviors.

Everything you see above is included in both color and b&w.

In this learning pack you will find:
- a pocket chart sort
- printable discussion cards
- a cut / paste activity
- a writing flip booklet
- an anchor chart
- graphics to make a class pledge

You can find it HERE in my TPT store.

As always, I'll send a copy of Making Responsible Choices to the first 3 people who comment on this post.  Don't forget your email!   Wowzers ... I had 3 comments in 10 minutes!  Thank you all for visiting my little blog!

Making 10 printable booklet

Hi again ... I told you that I've been busy getting a few things ready to post in my store - it's those finishing touches that slow me down - making it go from personal use to TPT ready!

Next up ... Making 10 with Cat!
It's a quick and easy, just print and use!

Students need to determine how many more buttons cat needs to Make 10!  They draw missing buttons to fill the ten frame then complete the addition sentence.  They won't even realize that they're solving missing addends!

You can find this booklet HERE in my TPT store.

Question for you ... I have this in my plans for the fall with my firsties.  Do you think a similar booklet to 20 would be a good idea?  I'm debating!

As usual .. the first 3 people who comment on this post will receive a copy.  Don't forget your email!

Pizza Math

Happy July!!!!  I hope that you're enjoying summer as much as I am!  Don't get me wrong - I LOVE teaching but this time with family to relax and rejuvenate is an essential part of our job and we are so lucky to get it. :)

I have just posted a new math product in my TPT store.  When started making it for my classroom I was creating a 'Making 10' game to reinforce the addition strategy but then I started thinking.  I know there will be some students who aren't ready for that strategy yet but who would enjoy okaying a pizza themed game so I added two games that are played the same way but focus on number sense.

The finished product looks like this ...
I am hopeful that this product allows for easy differentiation which helps so much with planning!  You can find it HERE in my TPT store.

I know people probably aren't reading too many teacher blogs so early in July, but I will still send a copy of this learning pack to the first 3 people who comment on this post no matter how long it takes!  Don't forget your email!

It's finally summer and a freebie!

I have been green with envy the past month or so reading blog posts of teachers who started their summer vacation ... now, I have finally joined the relaxation!  My plans consist of lots of relaxation, family time and of course adding a few new products to my TPT store. :)

First up, I decided that this fall I will introduce my Mystery Pictures with an easier picture that uses numbers to 50.  This will be a great lesson on it's own but also be the perfect introduction to the other pictures I have them do throughout the year.

You can pick up a copy (did I mention it's FREE?) in my TPT store - enjoy!!  You can find it HERE.

I Spy Digraphs

Happy St. Patrick's Eve!  As much fun as we had with our leprechaun door this week in grade one I am secretly happy that St. Patrick's Day falls on a Saturday this year!

Yesterday, I posted a new I Spy learning pack in my store and I must say that it's my favorite one yet!!!  I Spy Digraphs!! When Whimsy Clips came out with Donut Shop clip art I was instantly in love and new that it was just the clip art I was waiting for!!

Add a magnifying glass and this literacy station is ready to go!  I have included both color and black and white options because if you're like me ... colored ink at school is not an option and I use an abundance at home!

I added this to my I Spy Bundle so if you own it .. you can re-download it and pick up this pack for free!  It now contains 20 I Spy activities!

You can find I Spy Digraphs HERE in my TPT store.

As always, I'd love to give away a few copies of my newest pack.  The first 3 people who comment on this post will receive a copy.  Don't forget your email!

Hi all!
Happy March!  Here on the east coast we are anxiously awaiting spring!  The snow just keeps on coming!

I use and like them all but my faves are probably the Graffiti Wall, Box it Up! and the Word Maze... students stay engaged for sooooo long!!!!  Each one is ready to print in black and white and includes both a color and black and white student instruction 'I can' page.

Valentine`s Day Subtraction

Who else is loving the Olympics???  My only wish is that the time zone in PyeongChang was a little closer to mine!!

This week coming up is going to be super busy!  We have Valentine's Day, Olympic activities and because of the crazy weather this year and school cancellations we also have 100th Day!  Ahhhh ... overwhelming!!!

I needed one more math activity to add to my math work stations this week so I created this subtraction from 12 game.  I have yet to decide if I will use dice or a spinner so added both in my pack.
As you can see I have included 'I can' student instruction cards to build independence and provided a black and white option.  You can find this pack HERE in my TPT store.

As always, I'd love to give a few copies away ... so, the first 3 people who comment on this post will get a copy!  Don't forget your email!
